HoYoVerse started teasing the new Erdos Helia Battlesuit Planar Armament: Warped Spacetime ahead of its debut in Honkai Impact 3rd. While there are no English gameplay or character trailers for it yet, the latest video shows her full art. The description for it also offered a hint at Helia’s mindset by this point in the storyline when she gains these new abilities.

We do already know some of the basics about the Planar Armament: Warped Spacetime Battlesuit for Helia in Honkai Impact 3rd. This will be the S-rank character for the new patch. Since this is after Part 2, she does make use of the Astral Ring system. This will be a BIO type of unit. When she attacks, she’ll deal Lightning damage to enemies. 

The description for her teaser video included two “quotes” from the character about herself and the skills when she uses this Battlesuit. One is a bit generic, as all “she” said is, "I won't stop moving toward new possibilities." The other is a bit more detailed. It referenced the fact that this is a Warped Spacetime suit, suggesting additional versions or realities, as well as her Schicksal Mars team partner and “fellow Part 2 character Coralie 6626 Planck. That quite is, “It's to prove it to myself, to Coralie who has always believed in Helia, and to every single Helia out there—identical, beautiful, and flawed."

Some folks might have already gotten to go hands-on with this unit. At the end of May 2025, HoYoVerse started taking applications for the test server for the 8.3 beta.

HoYoVerse announced the first sign that the 8.3 update is on the way for Honkai Impact 3rd by announcing the beta test phase that introduces elements like the new Erdos Helia Planar Armament: Warped Spacetime Battlesuit. Applications are now open for all of us who play the game.

Gaining access to the test server for 8.3 works in the same way as previous ones offered for Honkai Impact 3rd. You need to be an active player, for one. This is because the only way to access the application is via the client. It’ll show up as a news item under an announcement labeled “Recruiting v8.3 Tester.” After clicking on that, you can fill out a form. HoYoVerse will then email anyone picked to participate in the beta.

While the official YouTube hasn’t shared any Honkai Impact 3rd footage of the Erdos Helia Battlesuit Planar Armament: Warped Spacetime, multiple videos appeared on the official Bilibili one. Some of these were story-based, while others looked more at gameplay. Given the past trends and release schedules, we’ll likely start seeing English of those closer to the global launch of the 8.3 update.

This will mark the second Battlesuit available for the character. Erdos Helia debuted in Part 2. When she did, her Valkyrie Boltstorm unit appeared. 

Honkai Impact 3rd is available for the PC and mobile devices, and the new story missions and Erdos Helia Planar Armament: Warped Spacetime Battlesuit will appear in 8.3 in the near future. 8.3 beta test recruitment is open until June 3, 2025.

Now that the Hyperion Lounge presentation finished, HoYoVerse confirmed the 8.2 Honkai Impact 3rd updaterelease date is April 24, 2025. It will include the Li Sushang Peregrine Sword Battlesuit, an Erdos Helia Valkyrie Boltstorm outfit to earn, and a major story chapter update. 

The trailer and announcement for the 8.2 Honkai Impact 3rd update began with a peek at what’s to come in the story. There’ll be a major focus on both the player’s Dreamseeker avatar and Helia. As a reminder, Helia is a mysterious Valkyrie who happens to be one of the main characters in Part 2 of the game. It seems like we might get some answers about her identity in Part Main Story Chapter VIII: “Till the Long Road Reaches the Sky.” 

We also know the Lu Sushang Battlesuit Peregrine Sword debuts in 8.2, and the Hyperion Lounge showcase and new trailer looked at her. This is an S-rank BIO type character who will deal Physical damage when she attacks with her fists, the sword hidden in her umbrella or her chicken companion. As such, she’ll use fist-type weapons in the game. She also has the Law of Ascension Astral Ring Specialization. The two new fists in this update, the five-star Jadeite Sleeves and six-star Jadeite Sleeves: Windward, are made with her in mind. The Newfound Joys Stigmata set also features her. She’ll also be the star of the Yunchin’s Culinary Wonders event, which includes Crystals, Source Prisms, a Stuffed Tummy emblem of Sushang’s chicken, and a Salted Plum outfit for the Helia Valkyrie Boltstorm Battlesuit as rewards.

Prior to Li Sushang’s reappearance, we saw another Part 1 characters return. A Kiana Kaslana Battlesuit and Teresa Apocalypse AstralOp debuted in 8.1.

HoYoVerse announced it will start selling Honkai Impact 3rd merchandise in the US at a temporary pop-up store starting on April 19, 2025. However, you need to be in Washington DC area to participate, as it will be at unit J4L at 1961 Chain Bridge Road in Mclean, Virginia. The Honkai TechLab will only be open for nine days.

The developer and publisher noted this is a “first stop” for this limited time storefront. It also confirmed that each day it is open, people can stop by between 10am ET and 6pm ET. While the image at the top shows the new Li Sushang Battlesuit, items of her don’t seem to be among the pieces that will be sold.  

It seems Honkai Impact 3rd merchandise from three categories will appear at this Washington DC area pop-up store. Some are badges, with the pins highlighted showing characters like Kiana. Acrylic standees will be present, with folks like Durandal, Mobius, and one that seems to pair Raiden Mei with Fu Hua present. HoYoVerse will sell figures too, with ones of Kiana, Bronya, Theresa, and Durandal appearing.

The 8.2 update is on the way for Honkai Impact 3rd, and we’ll get to use a new Li Sushang Battlesuit called Peregrine Sword in it. Ahead of that launch, however, HoYoVerse teased it by releasing a brief video that shows how she’ll look this time around.

Here’s the full teaser video for the Li Sushang Battlesuit. It also shows there’ll be a chicken accompanying her, which is associated with Fu Hua and her mother. The design includes Chinese influences in it.

Some people will get to see her before others, however. At the start of April 2025, HoYoVerse started recruiting beta testers for 8.2. You needed to sign up in-game to be considered. Those who did would get to test the Battlesuit and new content out. The company regularly calls upon the community to help out in these situations and did so for 8.1 too.

As a reminder, we don’t just see Li Sushang in Honkai Impact 3rd, as another version of her appears in Honkai: Star Rail. She’s only available as a four-star character in that game. She debuted when the game launched in April 2023. Her appearance and “journey” there with Luocha mirrors the one the Honkai Impact 3rd version of her took with Otto Apocalypse.

While the 8.1 update arrives for Honkai Impact 3rd on February 20, 2025, a new Twitch Drops event started to help lead into it. HoYoVerse announced the promotion on social media. People can immediately collect Crystals, which they could then put toward things like a Supplies gacha banner, and other items for watching.

Taking part is a fairly simple process. First, someone needs to have both a HoYoVerse ID and Twitch . You then need to head to the event page to link the two of them. All streams in the game’s category count. You then have until March 20, 2025 to watch streams to get rewards. In addition to the Crystals, the official banner also icons for items like Asterite, Phase Shifters, Stamina Potions. 

However, the number of Crystals you can get during the Honkai Impact 3rd Twitch Drops event isn’t very substantial. Only up to 120 can be earned for taking part. For context, you need 280 to pull on a Battlesuit Supply or AstralOp Supply banner. A Dorm Supply banner is slightly cheaper at 200 Crystals per pull.

In addition to the Honkai Impact 3rd Twitch Drops event, there’s a new trailer for the game. When the 8.1 update arrives, the new Kiana Kaslana Battlesuit Ba-Dum! Fiery Wishing Star will appear. It’s a new S-rank version of the character. The extended video begins by introducing who she is and showing her during a festival. From there, it shifts focus to gameplay to show how she’ll attack and inflict ion Marks on enemies to help deal additional damage.

A Theresa Apocalypse AstralOps unit will also debut in the 8.1 update.

HoYoVerse will be celebrating the eighth anniversary of Honkai Impact 3rd in the next update, and it teased the AstralOp character, Battlesuit addition, and other rewards we’ll find in 8.1. Everything is poised to arrive later in February 2025 when the update dropped.

First, HoYoVerse shared a number of infographics highlighting when some of the anniversary rewards will start to roll-out in Honkai Impact 3rd ahead of and during 8.1. The three bonus events will be held on February 13, 2025, February 20, 2025, and February 25, 2025. Among these will be an option to pick one of four Battlesuits as a free bonus. Supply bonuses will include an option to get a discount on pulls for the new Kiana Battlesuit and an additional outfit, with those kicking off on February 20, 2025. There are also some event bonuses, like another costume and in-game currency, which start on February 20, 2025, and more promised for March 2025. The First Top-up Reset for currency will also reset.

HoYoVerse opened applications for testers to the 8.1 Honkai Impact 3rd test server and confirmed it will feature a chance to use the new Kiana Kaslana Battlesuit. Ba-dum! Fiery Wishing Star will be available to everyone in February 2025.

The process of taking part should be familiar to anyone who’s been playing the game for a while, as it is identical to past tests. First, open up the game. In the news section, there should be an announcement called “Recruiting v8.1 Testers.” Open that, then fill out the survey you’ll find mentioned there. HoYoVerse will then notify players who are selected to take part. 

We don’t know too much about the Ba-dum! Fiery Wishing Star Battlesuit for Kiana debuting in Honkai Impact 3rd just yet. It is an S-rank unit. This is also the first new Battlesuit for the character since Part 2 kicked off in February 2024. 

The return of Kiana in Honkai Impact 3rd 8.1 marks the second reappearance of a Part 1 character in 2025. The first was Bianka “Durandal” Ataegina. She showed up in the 8.0 update that appeared in January 2025. That is also an S-rank unit.

HoYoVerse and Apex-Toys announced a new figure, and this time it is of Raiden Mei from Honkai Impact 3rd. It is expected to launch in February 2026. Pre-orders are open at AmiAmi and Tokyo Figure. It’s 25,330円 (~$163) at AmiAmi and 25,850円 ($168) at Tokyo Figure.

Raiden Mei is a 1/7 scale figure, so she’ll be just over 21cm (eight and a half inches) tall. This is a static statue of the character sitting on a bench. She’s wearing her Aqueous Springtide outfit, which is found in-game for the Herrscher of Thunder Battlesuit. In-game, it can be displayed with or without glasses, and that is possible here as well. Some of the sample photos even show her without them.

While Raiden Mei from Honkai Impact 3rd may look similar to the Genshin Impact character Raiden Shogun, she is an entirely different character. Honkai: Star Rail character Acheron also bears a resemblance to her, which Welt Yang commented on in a roundabout way in that game. 

Apex-Toys often releases figures based on HoYoVerse characters. For example, it just announced a Kafka Honkai: Star Rail one. It’s also been responsible for a lot of Zenless Zone Zero merchandise, with ones of Victoria Housekeeping faction being the most recent reveals.

The Honkai Impact 3rd Raiden Mei figure is expected to release in February 2026, and pre-orders are open on AmiAmi and Tokyo Figure. The game is available on PCs and mobile devices.

Myethos announced a new Honkai Impact 3rd figure of Bronya that depicts her Herrscher of Truth form in the Dorm Chibi casual style. AmiAmi is currently taking orders for it worldwide, with it costing 5,280円 (~$32). It is expected to ship in August 2025.

This version of Bronya is a non-standard scale figure stands at over three and a half inches tall (90mm). She has her hair pulled back into a ponytail, just as she does for the Herrscher of Truth Battlesuit. Instead of the outfit she wears in battle for that look, she’s wearing a white shirt with blue bow and black skirt. She’s also holding a blue pillow shaped like a bunny. An additional part shaped like a pillow with her armor mark on it can be placed to help her balance.

As a reminder, the Honkai Impact 3rd version of Bronya is different from the ones we’ve met in Honkai: Star Rail. Those are alternate versions of her from various planets and realities. However, the Welt Yang in Honkai: Star Rail is the same one from Honkai Impact 3rd.

Honkai Impact 3rd is about to hit another milestone, as a new Durandal Battlesuit and the 8.0 release date were confirmed in the latest Hyperion Lounge. The game’s story will continue alongside new events on January 9, 2025. 

The continuation of Helia and Coralie’s story will be a major focus in 8.0. The Part 2 Chapter VII chapter will be dedicated to it while also looking more into the Shus. (As a reminder, we already encountered like Lantern and Thelema in past patches.) This leg of the campaign will take us closer to Ruimu. 

As for Durandal, her new Battlesuit in Honkai Impact 3rd is Reign Solaris. It is an IMG type unit, and both of its combat forms deal physical damage with their attacks. (Her Palatinus Equinox Battlesuit also had two forms.) In Rampager form, she’ll attack with her signature javelin, while the Skyrider one involves hoverboard attacks. Rampager seems to focus on charged moves, while Skyrider prioritizes speed. Her signature Valorous Effulgence weapon and Illuminating the Universe Stigmas will also be added in the update.

Durandal will also be featured in one of the two notable events in the update. That’s called On-Duty Work Guide and involves cube puzzles. Countdown: To Sweet Dreams will also appear and bring in characters from Part 1.

A major milestone 8.0 patch milestone is coming to Honkai Impact 3rd, and that means there’ll also be a test server open ahead of launch for folks to help HoYoVerse check it out. The announcement on social media also confirmed those who participate get to test out the Mini Durandal Battlesuit called Reign Solar, which was previously revealed at the end of November 2024. 

As usual, you can only to be considered as a Honkai Impact 3rd test server participate for 8.0 if you are actively playing the game. This is because s are tied to opening the game, going to the “Recruiting v8.0 Testers” announcement, and then completing the survey offered there. Not everyone who applies will be chosen. Those who are picked will be alerted by HoYoVerse and told they can take part. 

One of the highlights of this part of the test is the aforementioned opportunity to see how the new Mini Durandal Battlesuit works in Honkai Impact 3rd. She’s an S-rank imaginary character who will deal physical damage to enemies. She wields a javelin when goes out into the field and has the option to ride a hoverboard as she fights. You can opt into that by shifting to Hoverboard Form. This is similar to a past Durandal one with multiple forms, as Palatinus Equinox let someone shift between Guardian and Knight. As a post 7.5 unit, she’ll also have Astral Ring .

At the moment, there’s still time to take advantage of the Honkai Impact 3rd Honkai: Star Rail crossover. That added Sparkle as a playable character. You can also earn a costume for her Battlesuit. Sampo appeared as a boss fight as well.

The Honkai Impact 3rd crossover with Honkai: Star Rail also means an enemy cameo, and it is Sampo. He’s a Masked Fool, like Sparkle, and has been a part of the HoYoVerse turn-based RPG since launch as a four-star character. To help with dealing with his fight, the company shared details about it on HoYoLab, including a peek at the Ultimate that references his Ultimate.

In his home game, Sampo is known for using explosives and dual knives to attack. This carries over to his appearance as the enemy Masked Fool Sampo in Honkai Impact 3rd. One of his main skills involves three bombs, and another entails a lunging attack in which he leaps from above to hit with his knives.

Some of the attacks play on the fact that he’s often seen trying to evade Belobog authorities or hide from consequences in Honkai: Star Rail. For example, he’ll send up a smokescreen with fake versions of himself, and you’ll need to listen to the sounds the replicas make to find the real Sampo. He’ll also hide in Honkai: Star Rail style trashcans, and you’ll need to attack them a set number of time to find which of the three he’s in and get him out. 

Finally, his one attack plays with the idea of his Surprise Present Ultimate, which involves him running up with a sealed, heart-shaped box and presenting it to his opponent. In Honkai: Star Rail, this does AOE damage and increases damage-over-time attacks’ effect. In Honkai Impact 3rd, it’s played off as a means to try and trick us during the fight, with accepting it leading to potential damage.

While Sampo isn’t playable in Honkai Impact 3rd, Sparkle from Honkai: Star Rail is. You can get her from the gacha if you play the game. There is even a special costume to earn if you go through the event temporarily added as a part of this new crossover.

Now that the Honkai: Star Rail crossover is about to debut in Honkai Impact 3rd this week, HoYoVerse kicked up the marketing by reminding people of what Sparkle is like. The latest trailer for the new Battlesuit and event highlights the Masked Fool’s personality and shows her as she adapts to and plays around in various situations. 

The new trailer begins with Sparkle at a festival. She’s eating a candy apple while fireworks explode in the background. She then disappears and explains she can’t take advantage, because she’s an actor who needs to prepare. We then hear her wonder if what’s to come might “be a performance worth ruining.” Her signature goldfish also appear around her as she wonders about this. We then see her watch during various events and take part in various “shows.”

We won’t just be able to get the Sparkle Thousand-Faced Maestro: Cameo Battlesuit in Honkai Impact 3rd this week. We’ll also be able to get an outfit for it. If you manage to get the new character and go through the limited time event, you can dress her up in Fictitious Game. That’s a red and black dress with frills and bows.

There won’t just be a Sparkle Thousand-Faced Maestro: Cameo   Battlesuit in Honkai Impact 3rd, as the Honkai: Star Rail heroine is also going to get a special costume called Fictitious Game too. That can be earned by playing through an event also running starting on November 28, 2024.

Here’s the official announcement showing how Sparkle looks when wearing the Fictitious Game costume in Honkai Impact 3rd. While her normal outfit has something of a kimono look to it, this is a more traditional dress with frills and ribbons. However, it is still her signature color, which is red.

The event involving the costume is called Honkai: A Fool’s Hand. The Hyperion Lounge showcase teased how it looks a little. It involves taking Sparkle around maps based on Honkai: Star Rail. There will be a card game tied to it, which involves placing cards in your hand in locations in the public pool to take advantage of special buffs. The end of the video segment also shows that outfit in action.

That story mode isn’t the only way elements of Honkai: Star Rail will show up in-game. If you get and use Sparkle, her one special attack will bring the UI from that title into Honkai Impact 3rd.
