Good Smile Company started pre-orders for the next new Fire Emblem: Three Houses figure, which is a figma of the female version of Byleth. She’ll debut in June 2026 in Japan, followed by a worldwide release. This one costs ¥12,800/$90.99.

As this is a figma, Byleth will be about six inches tall, be fully articulated. She will come with accessories from Fire Emblem: Three Houses. There will be three face plates representing a neutral expression, a smiling one, and one in which she is angrily shouting. She comes with one weapon, which is the Sword of the Creator, though there is also an additional effect part to show the fiery whip form of it. Multiple pairs of hands are also included for different poses.

Here’s how the Fire Emblem: Three Houses Byleth figma will look when it debuts next year.

We’ve seen quite a few Fire Emblem Byleth figures from Good Smile Company, and they represent both the male and female avatars. For example, Pop Up Parade versions of each one showed up in the more affordable, static, non-scale line.

The Fire Emblem: Three Houses female Byleth figma will launch in Japan in June 2026, with a worldwide release following after that. Pre-orders are open until July 9, 2025. Fire Emblem: Three Houses and Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes are both available on the Switch worldwide.

Fire Emblem: Three Houses Hilda Figure Heads to Class in 2025

Yet another Fire Emblem: Three Houses Pop Up Parade figure got a release date, and we’ll see the Golden Deer resident Hilda Valentine Goneril in 2025. She’ll debut first in Japan in October 2025. Worldwide shipments roll out after that, which means she should be in the US by or before Q1 2026. She costs ¥5,500/$52.99.

Since this is another one of the Pop Up Parade Fire Emblem: Three Houses figures, we know a few things about Hilda already. She’s a non-standard figure, so she doesn’t fall into any of the typical scale sizes. Instead, she’ll be between six and seven inches tall. She’ll also be wearing her Garreg Mach Monastery academy uniform, as this depicts her before the timeskip. Finally, there are no additional parts, so the pose you see is the one you get.

Here's a closer look at how Hilda turned out:

Hilda isn’t the latest one in this batch of characters to show up. Dorothea Arnault and Sylvain Jose Gautier ed her. All three were revealed at the same time at WonHobby 39 in February 2025. Since their pre-orders opened earlier, they’ll appear sooner. Dorothea is expected to launch in Japan sometime in August 2025, followed by Sylvain in September 2025.

The Fire Emblem: Three Houses Hilda Valentine Goneril Pop Up Parade figure will debut in October 2025 in Japan, then launch worldwide by Q1 2026. Pre-orders are open until May 7, 2025. The game is available on the Nintendo Switch now.

Video games can be about escapism, and for many people that means a love story. Gaming has some of the most beautiful romances of all media, but sometimes you want a little more gameplay than a visual novel offers. That’s where these games come in. Blending romantic stories with other gaming genres, they will warm your heart and your hands. Here are ten of our favorite dating sims on Switch that aren’t visual novels.

Fire Emblem: Three Houses 2r61h

Fire Emblem: Three Houses is a strategy RPG at its core, but the biggest decision you make is whether to the Black Eagles, Blue Lions, or Golden Deer. In fact, it's one of the most iconic Switch dating sims. There are different characters you can romance, date, and eventually marry. Not only does this make you feel warm inside, but gives certain bonuses to those units.

This idea isn’t unique to Fire Emblem: Three Houses, and the system is a key part of the Fire Emblem series. However, we’ve chosen Three Houses as our representative here, specifically because of the Three Houses system. Picking your houses locks you out of certain romance options, and gives you even more reason to start another playthrough.

Xenoblade Chronicles 3 4it4f

Xenoblade Chronicles 3 Key Art

This is a cheeky entry as there aren’t dating options in Xenoblade Chronicles 3, but there are a few games on this list that just have a romantic story at their core. The Xenoblade series is known for two things: beautifully synergistic action RPG gameplay, and a heartbreaking story. In the series the third entry has a special place in our hearts.

The touching relationship between Noah and Mio aside – which we won’t be spoiling – those who are desperate for stats to go up can get that too. The affinity system allows characters to unlock new classes, and there are almost 20 characters you can recruit, giving players the best of both worlds.

Stardew Valley 2w6b2w

If you don’t know what Stardew Valley is by now you have probably been living under a rock. The smash hit farming sim in the vein of Harvest Moon has taken over the life of many gamers. After your grandpa es on, he offers you his old plot of farmland in the village of Stardew Valley. You start out by clearing out the farm so you can plant crops, and then you get invested in helping spirits rebuild the community center.

There is a surprising amount going on in Stardew Valley. Aside from farming you will go mining, fishing, attend festivals, and of course date the people of the town. There are a dozen villagers that are single and ready to mingle. Getting married offers benefits, including the addition of children in your hand-built home. Just be prepared that if you decide to play Stardew Valley that you might lose hundreds of hours of your life to it.

Undertale 5q6f19

You only get into the dating sim elements of Undertale after you have finished the main game, so if you’re looking explicitly for games with plenty of dates then you should probably on this one. However, it is one of the best games of all time, known for its excellent character development, unexpected writing and dialogue, and the way it twists players' expectations.

Most people probably know the twist of Undertale at this point, but we won’t spoil it here just in case. It tells the story of a child who falls into a mysterious underworld filled with strange creatures who confront them at every turn. However, alongside those who attack them on sight, they find those who want to help. It’s about the relationships we have with others, and most of all forgiveness.

Unpacking 4h3n5l

You don’t choose who you date in Unpacking, but you do experience the main character's romantic history, including the highs and lows through the gameplay. It’s the epitome of show don’t tell, where the entire story is told via the things that are taken with them when they move house. The house itself tells a story, as our protagonist moves from her parents house, to a shared house, to a partner’s house, and back to their parents’ house again, and beyond.

It’s amazing just how much can be conveyed without a single word. Instead, you can see not just how their relationships blossom or wilt, but their career path, their religion, and their hobbies. Above all decorating and organizing the different places they live is incredibly satisfying even if you don’t care for the wordless story of love and loss.

Catherine: Full Body 2q514x

Created by many of the people who also worked on the modern Persona series, Catherine: Full Body shows more than a few of those games’ signature hallmarks. The story starts with our main character Vincent, who has been with his girlfriend Katherine for a long time. She is beginning to grow impatient waiting for marriage, and give him an ultimatum. Following this very serious conversation he finds himself waking up every morning to the young, seductive Catherine.

By day Vincent talks about his dilemma with his friends at his favorite bar The Stray Sheep, which is where he also meets his third potential love interest, the kind-hearted Rin. He also tries to guide the other customers of the bar through the struggles of their lives. At night, he is stuck climbing a nightmarish tower of block puzzles, alongside the other customers, who are also working through their issues as well. A trippy and heart-warming adventure.

Cassette Beasts 5u582l

Cassette Beasts is a creature collector like Pokémon, but it bears only a ing resemblance to Game Freak’s monster franchise. Instead of catching beasts you will record them on ‘90s style cassette tapes, and though you use them in battle, the one that’s truly in the firing line is you. Unlike the Pokémon games you will never be fighting alone; the power of friendship is always on your side.

As you continue through the story you will find more characters to you on your journey. They each have their own missions they are trying to accomplish. If you help them out, then you will grow closer to them either as friends or, if you like, lovers in this Switch dating sim. Except the dog. You aren’t allowed to date the dog.

Eternights 6b6s3b

Many Switch dating sims add romantic elements as just another feature that you can choose to interact with or not. Eternights puts the dating part of the action RPG at the forefront, and the ending that you receive completely changes based on who you choose. It’s one of the most impactful dating choices in gaming, outside of a visual novel.

The apocalypse is here, and after a long stint in an underground dungeon you emerge to find that those who remained on the surface have turned into monsters. After a supernatural encounter where your arm is ripped off and replaced with a weapon, you decide to get to the heart of the issue alongside any survivors you find along the way. Luckily, most of those survivors happen to be cute girls.

Boyfriend Dungeon w5s70

Boyfriend Dungeon does exactly what it says on the tin. It’s a dungeon crawler that is full of boyfriends, girlfriends, non-binary friends, and a cat. Set in a world of wielders and weapons, you create a bond with your armory who also happen to be handsome suitors. The stronger your bond when your weapons are in human/feline form, the better they perform in the dungeons.

What makes Boyfriend Dungeon unique is how it handles your relationships. Some partners will be happy with you dating around, others will want you to be monogamous. Some are just a fling, and others want to be your life-long love. There are many flavors of relationship, and even some hidden suitors to find.

A Space for the Unbound 3r4i3z

This is one of the few games that has made me cry ugly tears, and that is a testament to how touching the story is. A Space for the Unbound isn't really a Switch dating sim with stats that go up and down, but it does tell the touching romance between Atma and Raya. When Raya is having a hard time Atma is always there to cheer her up, but he’s left unsure if that’s the right thing to do.

Raya discovers that she has developed psychic abilities that allow her to warp the world around her to her whims. Atma explores the Indonesian village in which they both live, and has to decide what the best course of action is to help her. As he is dragged through many of her painful memories, he has to decide whether placating her, or tough love is the best way to help Raya heal in this heartwarming story.

Best 3D Turn-based JRPGs on Switch

The Switch is well-known for its excellent selection of JRPGs, and traditionally these feature turn-based combat. However, in recent years, favor has turned to action RPGs and turn-based games have been pushed to the side; even Pokémon’s next game has real-time combat. That doesn’t mean that there aren’t excellent 3D turn-based JRPGs. On the contrary there are many excellent games on the Switch from the genre. Here are our 10 favorite 3D turn-based JRPGs available on Nintendo Switch.

Atelier Ayesha: The Alchemist of Dusk 45p2p

As we excitedly wait for the next entry in the series, Atelier Yumia, we had to add one of these games to the list. While the more recent entries in the Atelier series are all action combat, the series is best known for its turn-based roots. Most games from the series are available on Switch, but we’ve chosen Atelier Ayesha as the representative for this list, as the beginning of the glorious Dusk Trilogy.

As the name suggests, the series is about people working in ateliers, and there is a strong emphasis on collecting resources out in the world in order to craft items and potions that you can use in battle. This means that the strategic layer to the game is evident both in and out of combat. One of the best things about Atelier Ayesha is that once you’re finished there are plenty of other games in the series to enjoy.

Super Mario RPG 5f1n67

Screenshot of Mario in Super Mario RPG
Screenshot by Siliconera

Everyone talks about Paper Mario – in particular The Thousand-Year Door – but the game that the series was built from hardly gets mentioned. Super Mario RPG originally launched on the SNES, when very few games were made with 3D graphics. It was a risk in many ways. There was not only the question of whether people would be interested in a turn-based Super Mario game, but the game also went against many long-standing RPG traditions.

Timing is crucial in Super Mario RPG, not only when you attack but when you defend as well. It adds an extra level of strategy to the game, and is something that few RPGs do. Separating it further from other RPGs is just how much damage is dealt and taken. Attacks often deal single-digit numbers, far from other bombastic RPGs that could see people hit for thousands. Super Mario RPG is not only one of the best turn-based JRPGs but the Switch version gives it several modern updates that fans love. The perfect place to start in your Mario RPG journey.

Persona 5 Royal 3t5q11

For many people Persona 5 is the pinnacle of the always excellent Persona series, and Persona 5 Royal improves on the already excellent game. Persona 5 returns to the dungeon crawling formula of the original Persona games, with carefully crafted dungeons rather than the seemingly never-ending procedural abysses of the modern Persona series, namely Persona 3 and Persona 4. This is one of the main reasons that Persona 5 has risen above the pack.

Persona 5 tells a beautiful, complex, and exceptionally long story about the power of friendship overcoming the status quo. Royal not only adds a new protagonist, but new social links, and additional scenes giving fans of the game even more to sink their teeth into. It runs flawlessly on the Switch, and its length means that the home to handheld feature of the console makes it the perfect way to play. Become part of the Phantom Thieves, and change society’s hearts.

Pokémon Legends: Arceus 1y2yp

All mainline Pokémon games on the Switch are 3D turn-based JRPGs, and most of them are great, but we chose to highlight Pokémon Legends: Arceus as a completely fresh take on Pokémon’s formula. Instead of battling your way through a series of Gym Leaders before reaching the Elite Four and becoming the champion, you will be roaming around semi-open areas, catching Pokémon and studying them for the Pokédex.

Pokémon Legends: Arceus not only changes the focus to catching, but also changes Pokémon’s standard battle system. Battles are still turn-based, but they have an active system with Strong- and Agile-style moves. While the Pokémon and their movesets are the same as other games, what each move does is completely different in Pokémon Legends: Arceus. If you’ve tried out the mainline Pokémon games, and want something a little different, Pokémon Legends: Arceus is the way to go.

Fire Emblem: Three Houses 2r61h

Fire Emblem is one of Nintendo’s flagship series, and Three Houses is one of the series’ best. It has all of the turn-based strategic battles that the series is known for, as well as the ability to bond with your teammates to level them up, but as the name suggests, Three Houses has three different paths you can follow, adding to its replayability.

Fire Emblem is well known for its brutal permadeath system, where if your characters die in battle, they die in real life too. However, Three Houses included a Casual Mode where nobody can be gone for good. You can still have the traditional experience, but if like many people the permadeath turned you off from the series, this is the perfect entry point.

The Legend of Heroes: Trails Through Daybreak 1m2t5j

The Legend of Heroes series is one of the longest running, beginning in the ‘80s, and many of them are available on the Switch. We have chosen Trails Through Daybreak to represent the series in this list, not just because it is one of the best, but because it is a great place to start as it begins a separate arc. Interestingly, Trails Through Daybreak is the only game on this list, which allows the player to choose between real-time combat similar to Nihon Falcom’s other major JRPG series Ys, or the turn-based combat the series is known for.

The series is known for its excellent characters and strategic combat, and Trails Through Daybreak exemplifies both of these. If you haven’t played the series before, you won’t understand every reference, but the developers have tried to make it one of the most accessible in the series in of the story and combat. It won’t take 30 years of video game knowledge to understand how good the intricate and complex writing is.

Final Fantasy VII and Final Fantasy VIII Remastered 3868

If you’re reading this list, you probably don’t need to be told how good Final Fantasy VII or even Final Fantasy VIII are. We’ll be holding our breaths a long time if we’re hoping for the excellent Final Fantasy VII Remake to come to Switch, but this console is one of the best places you can experience the original FF7. It can be purchased in a double pack with FF8, which is the game long-time fans of the series often point to as the best.

Both games have very different turn-based systems, which can create devastating synergies in different ways. FF7’s combat system is easier to use and more difficult to master. Creating devastating combinations requires good knowledge of Materia, Enemy Skills, and equipment that can link them in a way that stack. Conversely, FF8 is based on the Junction system, one that is difficult to grasp, but once you do, building up major damage is much simpler. Both can be purchased together at such a low cost, that it’s worth trying them out.

Monark 94y38

Monark received middling reviews when it was released, and that’s because people found the battles too difficult. However, the battles are actually one of Monark’s greatest strengths, and where it fails is in explaining its systems properly. Once you understand how it works, and how your characters best synergize, it is one of the most satisfying turn-based strategy systems out there. The protagonist of Monark can Resonate with the other party sharing buffs across all characters, leading to extremely devastating damage.

Similar to the Persona series, Monark focuses on the character’s personal stories. Each character is based on one of the seven deadly sins, and each has a dark past. Despite this, they all band together to take on the forces that are keeping the students trapped in school and sucking the life out of them. Created by former Shin Megami Tensei developers, this one is perfect for those who enjoy diving deeply into combat systems.

Ni No Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch z4s5

Ni No Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch is what happens when legendary anime maker Studio Ghibli teams up with the studio that created the epic turn-based JRPG Jeanne D’arc. Both Wrath of the White Witch and Revenant Kingdom are available on Switch, but we picked the first in the series as the best place to start. Ni No Kuni has an interesting battle system unlike the others on this list, it’s not just because it mixes turn-based and action combat.

Ni No Kuni’s combat features beastly familiars, and magical characters; think about it like if Pokémon let the trainers in the scrap. If you like the taming and training aspect of beastly battlers then this is another one you should try. Above all Ni No Kuni overwhelms players with its charm, and is a must play turn-based title.

The Caligula Effect: Overdose 1h6l5x

Written by Tadashi Satomi, best known for working on the original Persona series, The Caligula Effect: Overdose follows a group of people who have realized that they are living in the Matrix. Despite knowing that the world they inhabit is fake, there is no way to escape. First, they must take down the Ostinato Musicians, a group of people who want to keep the idyllic world alive.

Overdose adds a lot to the story beyond the original The Caligula Effect, including new party and chapters that you can play from the point of view of the Musicians. You grow closer to your teammates, and learn more about their lives both inside and outside of the world you can currently see. The Caligula Effect: Overdose has an active turn-based system where timing and sequencing play a major role in your success or failure. It can be difficult, but once you master it, it’s very satisfying.

See New Fire Emblem: Three Houses Byleth, Dorothea, Hilda, Sylvain Figures

Good Smile Company shared updates on four Fire Emblem: Three Houses figures at WonHobby 39, with the female Byleth figma and Dorothea Arnault, Hilda Valentine Goneril, and Sylvain Jose Gautier Pop Up Parade appearing at the event. The three Pop Up Parade figures all showed up as painted prototypes, so it’s likely we’ll see pre-orders for them in the next few weeks.

First, here’s how the Byleth figma of the female version of our avatar in Fire Emblem: Three Houses is looking so far. As this is a posable figure, there’s full articulation at the ankles, knees, hips, waist, wrists, elbows, shoulders, torso, and neck. She’s wielding her Sword of the Creator in the example photo, showing it will be included as an accessory.

Here’s how she looks so far:

The Dorothea, Hilda, and Sylvain Fire Emblem: Three Houses figures all are based on their appearances from the outset of the game. This means each one is wearing their Garreg Mach Monastery Officers Academy uniform. As the Pop Up Parades have standardized pricing and previous ones already appeared in this line, we have an idea of how much they’ll be. The Edelgard von Hresvelg one was $43.99, for example, but both the male and female Byleth ones were $33.99 each. So these three should fall into that price range.

Here’s the full gallery showing all of them:

There are quite a few Pop Up Parade Fire Emblem: Three Houses characters already available. Here’s the list:

  • Bernadetta von Varley
  • Byleth (female)
  • Byleth (male)
  • Claude von Riegan
  • Dimitri Alexandre Blaiddyd
  • Edelgard von Hresvelg
  • Felix Hugo Fraldarius
  • Lysithea von Ordelia

There were also other items like a Edelgard figma, Edelgard scale figure, and Dimitri scale figure.

There’s no release windows for the Fire Emblem: Three Houses female Byleth figma or Dorothea, Hilda, and Sylvain figures yet, and the game is available on the Nintendo Switch worldwide.

Fire Emblem Three Houses post time skip Edelgard figure

Intelligent Systems has revealed that it will release a new figure modeled after the post-timeskip version of Edelgard von Hresvelg from Fire Emblem: Three Houses. It is working with Good Smile Company to release the figure worldwide. The pre-order window has also opened for the figure, which will cost ¥31,680 / $210.99.

This static figure will depict Edelgard's appearance at the reunion battle on the Gronder Field five years after the academy period. Edelgard, who has become the Emperor of Adrestia, will also be shown with her unique axe Aymr.

The figure will have a scale of 1/7. The total height will be approximately 21 cm (8.27 in) when measured up to Edelgard's head, or 27 cm (10.63 in) when one measures all the way up to the tip of the Aymr axe.

Here are some of the sample images for the Edelgard figure, taken from multiple angles:

Prior recent examples included Dimitri Alexandre Blaiddyd from the same Three Houses, the female Alear from Fire Emblem Engage, and the female Corrin from Fire Emblem Fates.

Good Smile Company will close the pre-order period for the 1/7 scale figure of the post-timeskip Edelgard von Hresvelg from Fire Emblem: Three Houses on February 26, 2025. Fire Emblem Three Houses - Female Byleth Pop Up Parade Figure

Good Smile Company has opened global pre-orders for the Pop Up Parade figure of the female version of Byleth Eisner from Fire Emblem: Three Houses. The figure is available to order via the Japanese international web store at ¥5,500. People residing in the U.S. and Canada can instead place their orders on Good Smile Online Shop U.S. at $33.99. The company will release the figure worldwide in 2025.

After the initial reveals in July 2024 and the unpainted prototype previews in August 2024, the female Byleth figure is set to follow her male counterpart that has been available to order earlier in November 2024. However, while most Pop Up Parade figures stand at around 17-18cm (6.69-7.08in), this figure will only have a total height of around 15cm (5.90in).

Here are some of the sample images for the figure:

Good Smile Company has been producing more Pop Up Parade figures based on Fire Emblem: Three Houses to celebrate the fifth anniversary of the game Nintendo released on the Switch in July 2019. The Byleth figures won't be the end of the line, as the company has also teased figures modeled after Dorothea Arnault, Sylvain Jose Gautier, and Hilda Valentine Goneril. Back in 2022, the company sold figures of Edelgard, Bernadetta, Dimitri, Felix, Claude, and Lysithea from the same lineup.

The pre-order window for the Pop Up Parade figure of the female Byleth Eisner from Fire Emblem: Three Houses will close on January 22, 2025. Good Smile Company will start shipping the finished figures from Japan in July 2025 and North America in Q4 2025. Fire Emblem: Three Houses is available on the Nintendo Switch.

Good Smile Company has opened up pre-orders for a Pop Up Parade figure of Male Byleth from Fire Emblem: Three Houses. As a note, those who want a Female Byleth Pop Up Parade will need to wait until pre-orders open in December 2024.

The Fire Emblem: Three Houses Male Byleth Pop Up Parade figure is available for p-reorder until December 18, 2024. It costs 5500 JPY from the Japanese store and will ship out in June 2025. Meanwhile, the North American store lists it for $33.99 and will deliver it in Q4 2025.

As a Pop Up Parade figure, the figure stands at approximately 17 and 18 centimeters in height. This Byleth figure is wielding the Sword of the Creator in a very dynamic pose, looking like he’s right in the middle of combat. The pose and the way the cape lifts up also shows off details that you might have missed about Byleth’s design, such as the dagger around his waist or the singular knee guard.

Good Smile Company announced the two Byleth figures back in July 2024. We can see in the announcement that Male Byleth’s pose in the concept art is exactly the same as the final product. The Female Byleth also will look like she’s in the middle of combat, though her stance differs from her male counterpart.

The Fire Emblem: Three Houses Male Byleth figure is open for pre-order via Good Smile Company until December 18, 2024.

supergroupies fire emblem three houses

SuperGroupies will release new merchandise of Fire Emblem: Three Houses to commemorate the fifth anniversary of the game. In total, there are ten new items, all drawing inspiration from the older versions of the house leaders (and also Byleth). Pre-orders close on October 15, 2024 and you can expect your items some time in late January 2025.

For 9900 JPY ($68.45), you can get an umbrella that’s based off the character of your choice. Each umbrella features the character’s color scheme, symbol, and a crest charm hanging off the handle. The symbol of the house they’re from is also on the bag. The inside of the umbrella also uses the same pattern as the carpet in the character’s room. As a note, this umbrella can double as a parasol as well.

For the Fire Emblem: Three Houses house leaders, SuperGroupies will also release bags and wallets. Prices differ for the bags, but the wallets are all 15,400 JPY ($106.35). Like the umbrella, all of the items use the character’s color theme, as well as motifs from their houses or designs. For example, the Blaiddyd crest, Dimitri’s eyepatch, and a faux fur ornament hangs from Dimitri’s wallet.

Fire Emblem: Three Houses is readily available on the Nintendo Switch. As a reminder, SuperGroupies offers international delivery through WorldShopping, so you can buy the Fire Emblem: Three House merchandise (and more) even if you live overseas.

Fire Emblem: Three Houses Byleth Figure Prototypes Debut male and female Byleth

Even though the Fire Emblem: Three Houses Male and Female Byleth figure reveal only happened at the end of July 2024, Good Smile Company already shared an update at Smile Fest 2024. This time, we got to see unpainted prototypes of both of the characters.

The new unpainted Fire Emblem: Three Houses Byleth Pop Up Parade figure prototypes both match the concept art. Each one is wielding the Sword of the Creator. The female version is holding it in such a way that she looks as though she’ll swing it from the right to the left. With the male version, he looks as though he’s about to swing it from the left to right. In each case, active poses are used.

Here’s the latest update on the male and female versions of Byleth.

https://twitter.com/GoodSmile_US/status/1819534692925702465

While there was an update on these two Fire Emblem: Three Houses figures, there was no news on three others. When Good Smile Company revealed the two versions of the professor in Japan in July 2024, it also announced Pop Up Parade versions of Dorothea, Hilda, and Sylvain. All of them appeared in their school uniforms.

All of these announcements were originally tied to the game’s fifth anniversary. Nintendo also revealed an array of other types of merchandise in Japan to honor the occasion.

Fire Emblem: Three Houses is available on the Nintendo Switch, and the male and female Byleth Pop Up Parade figures are in development and don’t have any launch window.

Male and Female Fire Emblem: Three Houses Byleth Figures Announced

In honor of the fifth anniversary of Fire Emblem: Three Houses, Good Smile Company announced figures of the male and female versions of Byleth. The game originally launched on July 26, 2019, and there’s no launch window for the two new entries in the Pop Up Parade line.

So far, only concept art for the male and female Byleth figures appeared. Each one suggests the pose that might be used for the final product. Both will be wielding the Sword of the Creator, their signature weapon in the game.

https://twitter.com/gsc_kahotan/status/1816677323573465598

Good Smile Company already released a figure of Byleth before. However, it was based on the female version of the professor. It was a 1/7th scale figure that launched in 2023, and it allowed people to switch the Sword of the Creator to change its look.

There are already multiple Black Eagles, Blue Lions, and Golden Deer Pop Up Parade figures. Claude, Lysithea, Dimitri, Felix, Edelgard, and Bernadetta ones already showed up. All of them depict the characters as students. There’s also an Edelgard figma.

Fire Emblem: Three Houses is available on the Nintendo Switch, and the male and female Byleth Pop Up Parade figures are in development. There's no release window for either one yet.

Fire Emblem Three Houses post-timeskip character acrylic merchandise

Intelligent Systems revealed that Empty Co., Ltd. is working on a new lineup of Fire Emblem: Three Houses merchandise. The list will include acrylic stands and keychains featuring illustrations of characters in Three Houses' post-timeskip adult era.

One of the main highlights of this collection will be the full-artwork acrylic stands that cost 1,650 yen (~$10.55) individually. The lineup will feature scaled artwork of Edelgard, Dimitri, and Claude. The stands' heights will range from 112.5 mm (~4.4 in) to 147 mm (~5.8 in), with Dimitri's stand being the tallest as the measure includes his spear.

There will also be acrylic keychains that cost 660 yen (~$4.23) apiece. This collection will feature not only the above three characters but also every key character from the three houses, as well as the Church of Seiros-d character Cyril.

Forty new pixel art acrylic figures will complete the lineup. While these items will also cost 660 individually, people can opt to purchase a 10-in-1 box that costs 6,600 yen (~$42.25). This set will also include of the Ashen Wolves, the Garreg Mach Academy staff, and the player-controlled protagonist Byleth. However, unlike the first two, this collection will instead use the earlier character sprites from the academy era.

A majority of Fire Emblem: Three Houses merchandise has been modeled after the pre-timeskip academy era appearances. However, this collection is not the first one to feature the post-timeskip era. In 2022, SuperGroupies released bags inspired by adult versions of characters like Linhardt, Sylvain, Lysithea, and Yuri.

The new Fire Emblem: Three Houses merchandise lineup will be available in Japan in late July 2024.

Ishikawa Kaito surgery

Voice actor Kaito Ishikawa will take a month’s leave from late May 2023 for surgery. He has vocal polyps, which are growths that can affect the quality of one’s voice. While this will not affect any of his current or video game roles, there may be a need for replacement voice actors for his ongoing anime characters. [Thanks, Comic Natalie!]

According to his agency, he’s had polyps for a while now but they’ve gotten worse since the previous year. So Ishikawa decided to get surgery on the recommendation of his doctors. At the moment, the agency has stated that he will be on break for about a month. But that will depend on how well his recovery goes. Ishikawa apologizes for the worry and trouble he has caused everyone, but states that he will still work as usual until late May 2023.

Kaito Ishikawa has an illustrious career and has appeared in many anime and video game series. Some of his prominent anime roles include Kageyama in Haikyuu!!, Tenya Iida in My Hero Academia, and Genos in One Punch Man. For video games, he has portrayed Dimitri in the Fire Emblem series, Arrow in Soul Hackers 2, and Thorns in Arknights.

Kaito Ishikawa will undergo surgery for his vocal polyps in late May 2023 and will go on hiatus for a month at minimum after that.
