Alongside the release date reveal for Fate/stay Night Remastered, Aniplex and Type-Moon revealed Fate/hollow Ataraxia Remastered will appear on the Switch and PC. Like its predecessor, it is also confirmed for a worldwide English release.

Few details are available about the remaster of Fate/hollow Ataraxia. The confirmation is that it is now in development, with no release window set. When it does appear worldwide, it will be via Steam. A first trailer did show up to hint at things to come. However, it only focuses on environments and teasing the events of the title.

Here’s how that reveal video for the Switch and PC versions of Fate/hollow Ataraxia looks:

Fate/hollow Ataraxia is a sequel to the original Fate/stay Night set after the Holy Grail War and its events. In addition to Shirou playing a prominent role, it also introduces fellow Masters Bazett Fraga McRemitz and Caren Hortensia and the Servants Avenger and Lancer. While the original game appeared on multiple platforms, that didn’t happen for the sequel. Following its debut on PCs in Japan in 2005, it took almost 10 years for a PlayStation Vita version to appear. 

Fate/hollow Ataraxia Remastered is in development for the Nintendo Switch and PC. The original game is available in Japan on the Vita and PC.

Last week, Sega released Phantasy Star Nova for the PlayStation Vita in Japan. The game, which is yet another multiplayer-focused title for the Vita, sold 107,313 copies in its first week. Unfortunately, that’s the lowest debut of any multiplayer Phantasy Star game in recent years.

Below is a look at how the precursor to Nova, the Phantasy Star Portable series, performed. All three games listed below were released for the PSP:

(2011) Phantasy Star Portable 2: Infinity – 206,654

In comparison to the aforementioned games, Nova’s 100k debut doesn't look very good. As to why the game saw such a low debut, there are two theories that come to mind. The first is that a multiplayer Phantasy Star game already exists on Vita in Phantasy Star Online 2. This game is available on PC, Vita and even on smartphones in some form, and is free-to-play. Given how similar Nova looks to PSO2, there’s a good chance the broader audience decided they didn’t need it when they can already play the other game for free.

The other theory is publishers have simply released too many multiplayer-focused action games on Vita too quickly. Over the last few years, the popularity of Monster Hunter has encouraged other developers to create their own multiplayer-focused games where players team up to fight large monsters. On Vita, there are currently six prominent games in this genre: Soul Sacrifice, Soul Sacrifice Delta, Toukiden, Toukiden Kiwami, God Eater 2, and Freedom Wars. All of these games have been released over the span of a year-and-a-half, so the idea that the market for these titles is getting saturated isn’t far-fetched. Think of it as the equivalent of six multiplayer-focused first-person shooters being released in a year, all on the same platform. At some point, they’re going to begin eating into each other’s sales.

Moving on, the other significant release last week was Etrian Odyssey Untold II: The Knight of Fafnir. This game is a Nintendo 3DS remake of Etrian Odyssey II (originally on Nintendo DS), and sold 59,531 copies in its first week. That’s a significantly lower debut than the previous Etrian Odyssey Untold game, which debuted at 88,278 sold.

Why the lower sales? Again, there are a couple of plausible theories worth considering here. The first is that an “Etrian Odyssey” game has already been released his year. Earlier in the year, Atlus released Persona Q: Shadow of the Labyrinth, which is for all intents and purposes an Etrian Odyssey game with a Persona skin. It’s also a very satisfying Etrian Odyssey experience, so it wouldn’t be surprising if Etrian fans have already had their fill for the year.

The other reason for the lower sales could be that, three days before Etrian Odyssey Untold II was released, Atlus announced two more Etrian games—Etrian Mystery Dungeon and Etrian Odyssey V—both of which sound like a bigger deal. It’s possible that fans saw the announcement of the two new games and decided to wait for one of those instead... after all, Etrian Mystery Dungeon is just four months away.

On the bright side, hardware sales saw a boost across the board, owing to the approaching holiday season. The next four weeks should be interesting to watch.

This version also includes Capsule Servant, a bonus defense game where you send Servants like Saber and Archer out to take out other characters like Sakura Matou. Shirou Emiya and Rin Tohsaka are both playable characters in Capsule Servant.

Fate/hollow Ataraxia is packed with mini-games like Capsule Servant and Wind and Clouds Illya Castle. This game is a mix of Type-Moon trivia and a touch screen obstacle course. At the end players will battle Illya and her servant, Berserker.

It looks like the controls are based on the iOS and Android port Frontier Works developed which was released a couple of years ago.

You choose Shirou Emiya or Rin Tohsaka and summon chibi Saber, Archer, and Lancer servants. Players will fight other Masters like Ayaka, Waver, and Hakuno in Capsule Servant.

Kadokawa Games have release a new trailer for the PlayStation Vita port of Fate/Hollow Ataraxia. The game is scheduled for release in Japan on November 27th.

Fate/Hollow Ataraxia on Vita comes with a couple of extras, such as a tower-defense minigame. The Vita version will also be fully voiced.

We previously reported that Fate/Hollow Ataraxia for PlayStation Vita will be released this November, and a limited edition version will also come with a cute mini-Nendoroid figure of Avenger. The game will have more cute stuff going on, with a built-in mini-game featuring chibi-style character.

According to the report, the mini-game, called Capsule Servant, is a competitive Tower Defense-style game, where players will assume the role of Shirou Emiya or Rin Tohsaka. There are numerous Masters and Servant characters who’ll be participating in super deformed fashion.

Fate/Hollow Ataraxia the sequel to Fate/Stay Night will be getting a fully-voiced treatment for its Vita port, and will also be getting a new opening video from Fate/Stay Night animation studio, Ufotable. In the latest issue of Comptiq magazine, they revealed the game’s release date, and more. (Thanks, Humanity6.)

The magazine issue notes: “The release date has finally been confirmed! The fated date is November 27th!!”

While there weren’t many other details, the report also reveals that a limited edition version of Fate/Hollow Ataraxia will be available, and will come with a Nendoroid Petite figure of Avenger, and a collection of art material behind the designs of the game

Ufotable, the animation studio behind the Tales of Xillia and Tales of Xillia 2 movies, will create a new opening video for Fate/hollow ataraxia when it comes to PlayStation Vita. Kadokawa Games and ufotable also created an opening movie for the Vita version of Fate/stay night Realta Nua which came out in 2012.

Kadokawa Games will release Fate/hollow ataraxia will be released for Vita later this year.

Fate/Hollow Ataraxia for PlayStation Vita will be fully-voiced, Kadokawa Games have confirmed. Additionally, Kadokawa say that the game will make use the PS Vita touch screen.

Fate/Hollow Ataraxia is a sequel to Fate/Stay Night, and takes involved protagonist Shiro Emiya reliving the first four days of the fifth Holy Grail War over and over. It also introduces a new character by the name of Bazett Fraga McRemitz, to whom ing references were made in Fate/Stay Night.

The game  is slated for release sometime in 2014 in Japan.

Dengeki PlayStation reports a port of Fate/Hollow Ataraxia is in the works for PlayStation Vita. Ataraxia takes place after Fate/Stay Night which was was re-released for Vita in late 2012.

Fate/Hollow Ataraxia follows Bazett and Avenger on their journey to win the fifth Holy Grail War. The Vita version will have full voice acting. A release window for the game has not leaked online yet.
