While we don’t have E3 anymore, the Summer Game Fest 2025 Xbox Games Showcase appeared on June 8, 2025, and it included a number of titles and ROG Xbox Ally handheld gaming PCs with Xbox elements. The ROG Xbox Ally and ROG Xbox Ally X handhelds with AMD Ryzen will appear later in 2025, Hollow Knight: Silksongwill be playable on it, and every game that appeared in today’s showcase also will work on the systems. In total,  titles, updates, and add-ons appeared in today’s showcase.

Initial specs for both the Asus items came up. The ROG Xbox Ally is the smaller and less powerful of the two. It has AMD Ryzen Z2 A inside, 16GB RAM, and 512GB memory. The ROG Xbox Ally X model has AMD Ryzen AI Z2 Extreme. It’s got 24GB RAM and 1TB storage.

ASUS announced four PC peripherals based on Hatsune Miku will become part of its TUF Gaming line in June 2025. These will be a themed H1 Gen II Headset, K3 Gen II Keyboard, mini wireless mouse, and P1 mouse pad to go with it. Prices aren’t available yet, but the standard version of that headset is typically $59.99 and that kind of keyboard can start at $94.99. 

The color scheme for all four items are similar. In each case, they are green with black, pink, and white accents. The headset, keyboard, and mouse all have Hatsune Miku silhouettes on them, as well as often the ASUS TUF Gaming logo. The headset works with PCs and the PS5.

The keyboard also has keycaps with images, iconography, and phrases tied to the Vocaloid. For example, the shift key has her image on it and says “Born to be different.” The Esc key has an 01 on it, and her name is on the enter key. It also has a detachable top plate, IP57 waterproofing, optical mechanical RGB switches, and you can swap keycaps.

Asus’ ROG Ally 7” model is now on sale at both Amazon and Best Buy as part of Black Friday deals. Best Buy is selling it as one of its Doorbusters. The AMD Ryzen Z1 Processor model costs $349.99, rather than $499.99, while the AMD Ryzen Z1 Extreme Processor model is $499.99 instead of $649.99.

Processors aside, the specs for both of the handheld PC gaming  devices are similar. Both feature a 7” 120Hz, FHD screen. Both version’s touchscreens offer 1080p resolution. Each one has 512GB SSDs built in and MicroSD for expanding the memory. Each one also has 16GB LPDDR5 RAM. They also each Dolby Atmos. As these aren’t Steam Decks, people can also install multiple storefronts on them like Epic Games, GOG, and itch.io.

Meanwhile, it seems like vendors at Amazon are competing with that price on the ROG Ally 7" model. Some of the listings there are selling it for $499.49. Be careful though, as many of those are used models for that price instead of new ones.

Multiple companies are reducing the prices of their Steam Deck-like systems at the moment. The Lenovo Legion Go is another one. That’s normally $699.99. Best Buy and Target are both selling that for $549.99 now. 

Meanwhile, Valve announced it will be selling a limited edition white OLED Steam Deck. Orders for that open on November 19, 2024. That will be $679.

The ASUS Republic of Gamers line will feature Evangelion items once again, as a plethora of Asuka and Unit 02 gaming computer hardware is on the way. The new collection is slated to be released before September 2023. According to the ASUS ROG social media , the lineup includes a large amount of Evangelion-themed hardware.

The first two items are the ROG Thor 1000w Power Supply and the ROG Scabbard II mouse pad, respectively. Both feature classic Evangelion designs, with the NERV logo and font on them. Next up are the ROG Keycaps for RX switch keyboards. The keys are colored with Asuka's signature black and red theme, with the character featured on the space bar. There's also the Harpe Ace Mouse Grip, which is mainly red with Asuka on the right button and a silhouette of Unit 02 next to the sticker. You could put that mouse grip on the Gladius III wireless mouse.

Next up is the Strix Scope keyboard. This features the same keys as the keycaps with a red and orange ROG design on the top right. Then there's the Herculx. This graphics card holder features a color-changing Asuka as well as a spirit level for easy setup. Following the Herculx is the Ryujin III 360 U cooler with RGB fans with the classic red, black, and orange design on the rest of the components. The collection also features an RTX™ 4090 with Unit 02 decals. There is also the Maximus Z790 Hero motherboard, which hosts another illustration of Asuka and a sweet AT field design around where the chip slot is. Rounding out the lineup is the Unit 02-inspired Hyperion PC case, which has many details alluding to Asuka's Eva and ROG's collaboration. It also comes with some red cabling and is packaged in an ROG x Evangelion box.

This isn’t Republic of Gamers’ first collaboration with the Evangelion franchise. Back in 2022, they also released a Unit 01-themed lineup of hardware. Evangelion also partnered with the Japanese company Answer back in June and released a fight stick. With the Unit 01-themed goods being hard to come by nowadays, we can expect the Unit 02 hardware to go just as quickly.

The Evangelion ASUS ROG items will be available in late September 2023.
