Chicago’s Field Museum Will Host Pokemon Fossil Museum

The Field Museum, located in Chicago, Illinois, announced it will host the Pokemon Fossil Museum exhibit. It will appear starting on May 22, 2026. It is possible to sign up at the official site to be notified about more information when available.

This exhibit is a recurring event that2024. At time of writing, the event is being held in Japan at the Fukui Prefectural Dinosaur Museum. This marks the first time it will appear in the US. The Field Museum’s page confirms this iteration is based on Tokyo’s National Museum of Nature and Science one. It also noted real fossils and Pokemon trivia will come up. 

The Field Museum did confirm that this Pokemon Fossil Museum exhibit will require an additional ticket in addition to the general ission one. However, there are regular free days for Illinois residents who show proof they live in the state via a driver’s license, library card, or other methods. These additional exhibits often cost around $10 for adults and $8 for children, and general ission is $30 for adults, $23 for children, and $27 for students.
